We at Dinkys have had the amazing pleasure to meet lots of new puppies this year. Some of them had siblings that were delighted to get a new brother or sister and others, like poor India and Rubin have yet to fully make up their minds if this is a good thing.

I wanted to give you superstars,  a page of your very own, not all of you are groomed, and those of you that are, are still very much in your puppy coats, cute but hardly stylish lol.

It will be lovely to see how you all grow and change over the next few months. I will be asking your human parents for regular stories of your life adventures both good and ..... .........naughty! To be honest we at Dinky's love those naughty stories best of all.

Okay, kicking off the album is Rubin and his new sister Ruby (aka I will be top dog). This puppy has no idea that she is a little dog, she copied her brother's every move. I am sure she would protect him if anyone ever tried to hurt him. Just look at that face

Beautiful Boo, hard to believe this stunning baby is a rescue case. This was her 1st professional bath/makeover. I'm  not sure she was that impressed by it all. Boo afterwards, how huggable is that puppy!!!! I got really broody for a puppy after grooming her, my partner is not too thrilled by that lol.

Today we met the most wonderful dog called Marco. He was the most well brushed and nicely presented dog to have ever come to Dinkys. We were super impressed by this, more so as his parents are young and clearly lead busy lives, yet they brush his teeth every morning and his coat EVERY evening. Marco is therefore used to being washed and brushed and only had to learn that clippers will not eat him, scissors will not attack him and nail clipping is not the end of the world (I wish my dog Mouse could be this good at nail clipping).

At just 7 months old, and full of fun, Marco was able to sustain a 2 hour grooming session, better than many dogs twice his age. Well done to his owners!!!!

The beautiful Marco

He may look fed up but he was just posing, 2 minutes after this he was playing with Roxy

Small World

Not long after these pictures were posted I was asked to groom......his brother Barney. How weird is that. The two boys have not met up since they went to their new homes, but Barney's family just knew it was him. The boys are very alike, with amazing personalities. I am hoping that a reunion is just around the corner. Grooming is a lovely job and made even more special when there are moments like this.  UPDATEA grand reunion took place at Christmas, but they were so excited (more Marco than Barney lol) but they moved a lot and no one caught a decent picture of them.

Barney the Brother

Charlie is a darling

Although he has only been twice, (the 1st time to be shaved off) I am super impressed by how his young handlers have listened to everything I said about brushing him. He came in today with only 1 small knot. Hats off to the girls, you have done BRILLIANTLY. Charlie groom number 3

Another Charlie Boy, he is a Bichon x Poodle and just as cute, Charlie B4 & after.
